The sea-foam green line is aboveground, for a large part, and where it crosses over the Seine just before Passy there is a fantastic view of the Eiffel tower. This is particularly gorgeous at night, when it's all lit up.
Reid Hall is in the sixth arrondissement, just barely, north of where the arrondissement map says "Montparnasse." Metro stop: Raspail (fuschia line), Edgar Quinet, or Montparnasse (sea-foam green line), if you feel like walking an extra mile and a half just to get out of the station.
Jussieu -- Paris VII -- UFR Institut d'Etudes Anglophones -- Charles V -- where I take the translation class, is in the Marais, which means the marsh. Fourth arrondissement, metro stop Pont Marie (pink line, right next to the Seine).
I love the Paris metro. It's one of my favorite things about Paris; there's a stop about every two feet. It's a nice change from the Beijing subway (previously my only subway experience), which has precisely three lines for ten million people.
Step it up, Beijing, step it up.
PS. Can I just note that I should have used Vox, or really anything other than Blogger? You should be able to click on those pictures to make them bigger, but it's not working, at least not for me. If you have some sort of burning interest in the Paris metro map (or finding where I live so you can stalk me from afar), you can click on the link above the map, and then click on the new picture of the map, which should zoom it in to readable size. Graahh Blogger.
